Dr. Ann Ruzow Holland, Ph.D., AICP, Named to the College of Fellows of the American Institute of Certified Planners (FAICP)
Dr. Ann Ruzow Holland of Willsboro, New York, has been elected to the College of Fellows of the American Institute of Certified Planners (FAICP), the highest honor bestowed by the American Institute of Certified Planners and among the most distinguished recognitions in the planning profession nationwide.
Fellowship recognizes planners who have made sustained and significant contributions to the profession and to society. Over a career spanning more than four decades, Dr. Ruzow Holland has led comprehensive planning initiatives, environmental and land use analyses, housing and workforce development strategies, and nonprofit governance reforms across New York State’s North Country and the Adirondack region.
Her work has supported municipalities, regional organizations, and nonprofit partners in advancing community resilience, regulatory alignment, and long-term sustainability.
“Being elected to the College of Fellows is both humbling and deeply meaningful,” said Dr. Ruzow Holland. “Planning has always been about service—to communities, to future generations, and to the profession itself.”
Election to the College of Fellows is limited to a small percentage of AICP members and follows a rigorous peer nomination and review process recognizing excellence in professional practice, leadership, scholarship, and service.
